2000 La Boheme Pinot Noir: 89 Points “Muscular, dense and briary, this wine combines New World power with finesse. The fruit is tinged in blue, the texture is supple and lush, with a fresh snapped twig quallity in the finish. Serve with your next sage-rubbed pork loin.” – Patrick Comiskey
Our 2016 Clay Court Pinot Noir received an excellent 93 point rating from Wine Enthusiast: “Made from Pommard and Dijon clones of Pinot Noir, this is a snappy, lip-smacking wine, loaded with tangy raspberry and blueberry flavors. Highlights of cola, tea and subtle streaks of savory notes contribute to the overall length and complexity.” –Paul…
2007 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley: “… Medium ruby-colored, it offers up a pleasing perfume of smoke, spice box, cherry and cranberry. Easy going and elegant on the palate, this tasty, well balanced effort can be enjoyed over the next 6 years.” – Robert Parker (October 31, 2009)
2004 Roosevelt Pinot Noir: 90 Points (June 30, 2007)
The outstanding 2021 ‘Clay Court’ Pinot Noir spent ten months in 20% new French oak prior to bottling and comes from this hillside site on Parrett Mountain. Sourced from Dijon clonal selections 115, 777 as well as Pommard clone Pinot Noir, this delivers a smooth mouthfeel on the approach with juicy guava, red currant, salmonberry and sous bois notes on the palate. Finishing long, this is a beautiful example of Oregon Pinot Noir from a warm vintage. Drink 2023-2037
The quaffable 2022 Elk Cove Pinot Gris also contains slight amounts of Gewurztraminer and Muscat and gifts a bright, light lemon core with a watery rim in the glass. It is wonderfully floral on the nose, giving up notes of sweet green melon, kiwi fruit, white flowers, and sea breeze on the palate. Medium-bodied with a lovely floral note that hits the mid-palate on the finish, this one should drink well for the next 5-6 years.
